I was doing the laundry the other day and, as usual, I was going through the pockets of my jeans. After I had emptied my party pockets, I figured it was a great name for a new font!

So, without further ado: here’s Party Pocket: a handwritten all caps font - great for product packaging, greeting cards and posters!

A combination of retro, vintage and modern calligraphy styles to find exotic nuances in the characters. Vintage-style swashes, it’s simple and still looks elegant. The design of Nomada Sans is informed by the examination of several iconic sans serif typefaces, incorporating both lucidity and grace. The result is an entirely new and original typeface family infused with Latin flair. Nomada Sans reveals the essence of the Collection: Here, the structure is reduced to the max. The family comes in nine weights from the most delicate Hair to a punchy Extrablack, all with true italics. In the medium weights, Nomada Sans is a pleasant multi-purpose face and reads well in body copy, too. The generous x-height and open shapes ensure excellent legibility in even the smallest text sizes, while the lightest and boldest weights deliver impact to headlines and other display uses.

This is a font imitating the stage of outline construction of letters using drawing tools - compass and ruler. It is very geometric (with auxiliary lines, axes, centers of circles, tangents, and conjugation of circles), although the circles are somewhat compressed from four sides. The second style, which plays the role of Bold style, is a hatched version of the Regular style.
The font has very small elements that appear in a sufficiently large size, so it is better to use it for large compositions, in particular, advertisements, posters, large headings, etc.
The family is named “Khachatur” after the name of the father of designer Ruben Tarumian — architect Khachatur Hakobyan, his first master.

A ‘Brochette’ in French is a skewer. I used to be a tour guide and some years ago, I guided a couple of tours in Mali. Every night at dinner we had the choice of a ‘Brochette de Capitaine’ (grilled Nile perch on a skewer) or a ‘Brochette de Bœuf’ (grilled beef on a skewer). Of course, every night the Brochette came with French fries and ‘petits pois’ (peas). It was really nice, but after 4 months of eating Brochettes, I longed for something different!

Brochette is a very nice rounded font. It comes with curls, swirls and swashes.

When I am working on a new font, I usually play some music, or have a song in my head. When I was working on this font, an Audioslave song called Getaway Car was playing in my head. Again: naming a font is not that difficult!
Getaway Car was made with a cheap brush and expensive Chinese ink. It is an all caps font, ideally suited for posters, book covers and designs that need a bold, rough & ready look.

Designed by María Ramos and Jordi Embodas, Nomada Didone exhibits a more pronounced contrast than Nomada Serif, with vertical stress and finer hairlines. The contrast amount is not too extreme, though. It’s robust enough to be used confidently also for smaller text sizes, on screen, and in negative settings. The ball terminals add to its posh demeanor – a feature that is particularly noticeable in the gracile Hairline.
At the other end, another exquisite titling typeface: Nomada Didone Extrablack channels the Fat Faces of the 19th century, with adjusted vertical proportions for contemporary use. The medium weights make for a dapper text face that combines clarity and sophistication.

Epicentrum is a universal sans serif with a minimal style of strokes, a closed aperture and geometric shapes. It comes with four rounded styles which are perfect for large arrays of texts. The individually developed design of each glyph makes it possible to use it successfully as a display font. All weights can be combined perfectly which gives you the opportunity to create endless unique designs with just this one download.

NO! I don’t have a bearskin rug, nor a fur collar on my jacket. I believe fur should only be worn by its first owner.
I have no idea why I called this font Bearskin: maybe I was influenced by one of the Viking novels I am reading - they’re full of Berserkers - but that name was already taken.
Anyhoo, Bearskin font is a nice handmade all caps font. A little rough here and there, but with a lot of character as well. Bearskin comes with swashes, so you can have a ball!

Rearviewmirror (no space) is a Pearl Jam song and it happens to be my favourite! Rearview Mirror is a handmade tall & thin font. It comes in a regular and bold style with their italics.

It seems black crayons are out of stock where I live. I can buy all the colors I want, except black ones… I really needed a crayon, so I bought this ridiculously expensive professional marker crayon ($14 for 1!!!) and created this font.

Use it for… well, uhm, dunno… book covers, product packaging and restaurant menus? Just have a ball!

Aceituna means ‘olive’ in Spanish. It comes from the Arabic Al-Zeitoun. I am multi-tasking today: finishing this font and thinking about what to cook for my family tonight (yes, I am the one who cooks!). We normally eat Asian food, but I was toying with the idea of serving something Mediterranean and realised we had run out of olives. So there you have it: the super simple trick of naming a new font!
But enough of cooking: Aceituna font was made with a Japanese brush pen. It is a very versatile font: tall and thin, elegant and a little messy. A hint of texture and, like olives, it goes with almost anything.
